BMP-2 RNA enhances bone regeneration
University of Iowa
Inventors at the University of Iowa have developed an RNA-based therapeutic that can be used in medical and dental applications.
This technology consists of nanoparticles loaded with chemically modified RNA (cmRNA) of BMP-2, (2) with or without a non-viral nano vector that enhances cmRNA. This is a safe, efficient and reliable method to successfully achieve bone regeneration in a wide variety of indications including: fracture healing, periodontal regeneration, alveolar ridge augmentation, peri-implant bone regeneration or sinus augmentation.
